I wanted to write this review so that I can help those who are going to the F2F in ATL in the future. Glassdoor wasn't really helpful on what to expect when you get there but hopefully this will help some of you on what to expect and how they decide who to give CJO's to. Whether your F2F interview is in the morning or noon, I'm positive it's the same process either way. So, let's get started.
When you get to HQ, expect about 30-40 or more people who are also there to interview with you. They split you into 4 groups and each group does different activity throughout the 4 hrs that you are there for. The first group does the F2F interview first and you will get picked on by one of the flight attendants and then get taken to a room to do the interview. There will also be another person there with you but they're there as witnesses only and don't talk throughout the time that you are in the room with the FA. While Group 1 is doing their interviews, Group 2 is doing an activity with building a snack tray on a cart. Group 2 will get split into 4 smaller groups with each group having at least 4 people. They will give you instructions on what to do and how to arrange the snacks and drinks based on the flight scenario that state on the instructions. Please note, this is timed. There will be a flight attendant and another person with each group to observe you. Meanwhile, Group 3 is doing a "Reach & Snap" activity, Basically you have to able to reach a handle on one of their bigger plane doors and then be able to sit on a jumpseat and buckle your seatbelt. And finally Group 4 is asking questions to 2 flight attendants. This is where you ask all the questions that you don't know or are unsure of.
Each group will get a chance to do all 4 activities so once every group is done with their activity, then they rotate to do the next one. Be engaging and smile and talk to as many people as you can; you can even talk to the flight attendants. They will be watching from the moment you step into the building. Don't yawn or show signs of tiredness or fatigue because they will notice that. Get a good breakfast beforehand because you're going to be there for 4 hrs with no food. They do provide breaks in between or if a group is done early, to use the bathroom or get some coffee, which is complimentary.
After everyone has gone through all 4 activities, they thank you for coming and start sending you all in "zones" to gather your belongings so you can head to the airport or back to your hotel. I was not offered a cjo on the spot but I do know, and this is coming from a friend who did get an offer on the spot that same day, that there will be some people left behind and those people will get an offer that day. They do a drug test, fingerprinting, background check, take your passport information and you do have to fill out some paperwork that same day. So if you're in one of those zones, take that as a hint that you didn't get the job. As much as it sucks, that's the reality of it. You can try again in 6 months or go for another airline. This is how the airline industry works. Very rarely will you get an offer via email days after your F2F. They may send you an offer via email if one of their cjo holders couldn't pass their background check or drug test or whatever the case may be. But, don't hold your breath.
I'm not upset I didn't get a cjo but I do want everyone to remember that yes, you are there to interview for Delta but at the same time you are also there to interview Delta to see if their values and lifestyle is the right fit for you. Ask questions, get as much information as you can. They give you a glimpse into what your life is going to be like as a flight attendant for them and what to expect. I will say, everyone was very nice and professional and answered every question we had. I am not going to post the interview questions I was asked during my F2F because everyone was asked different questions but there were some situational questions so your responses have to be in STAR format. They also go through the lifestyle of a flight attendant and how you feel about commuting or moving to base, working holidays and what the pay is like. Also note, Delta is not unionized. This may or may not affect your decision but it's something to keep in mind.
That is all, good luck to you all!
