I'll sum it up and call the process what it is: a disaster. I applied for the job, and heard back within days, and completed a standard screener. That went well, from which I was passed to the next round with the hiring manager. The interview was fine, albeit a little awkward considering the hiring manager thought I should apply for a role that was a level up. I went ahead and agreed, then was passed to round 3 which was with the hiring manager's boss. This was an odd interview which ended up being a 45 minute conversation with just a handful of questions... one of which was, "why did you apply... what can Dematic do for you?" About a week went by, and I was scheduled for round 4, which was a timed case study with the hiring manager. This is where I received an ambiguous spreadsheet, and was given 40 minutes to analyze it, then build a few slides explaining why I built my business case the way I did. The thing is, there was not right or wrong way to build the analysis given the data that was provided. This entire time, the hiring manager was watching me work, while reminding me that I wasn't allowed to use Google, lol. The review was sort of harsh, as the hiring manager seemed pretty stuck on how he would have interpreted the data. We then wrapped up, and parted ways, as I was told HR would be in contact with me. Over a span of about 3 weeks, I sent out emails to the hiring and HR. I heard nothing back... was completely ghosted. I ended up getting an offer somewhere else, so I withdrew my application at Dematic. Overall, my experience was pretty miserable, as Dematic is clearly disorganized. It blows my mind knowing this company has been in business for 150 years.
