I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Denny's (Palm Bay, FL) in Dec 2017
Interview
Hired by Theo Roberts. Before franchise ownership changed. He was polite. He also knew some of the same people I went to school with so he had a character reference. The interview was an hour long. I was never told about the e learning process and I was conveniently hired in December. They needed a hostess for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's day. I was promised by Mr Roberts I would get server training upon my interview which never got finished once the franchise was bought out.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What experience I had working with registers and the food service industry.
Not the best interview. Started off in Spanish, which is fine, but I don't speak Spanish. It was informal, a bit uncomfortable. I expected a different line of questioning and was disappointed.
Fairly easy interview process. The questions weren’t too hard and just wanted you to tell about providing and receiving great customer service. If they like you you can be hired on the spot

Brief chat with manager about past experience and work hours preferred. Did not want to work too late in the evening and was accommodated.
