Overall, my experience was negative.
The company insisted on an in-person interview in OKC, seemingly unaware of virtual options like Teams or Zoom. The interview was divided into two parts.
The first part was an informal and friendly discussion with the team. It was primarily technical, focusing on their current project, challenges, and how I would approach solving them. This portion was engaging and constructive.
However, the second part—the formal interview with the manager—was uncomfortable. The manager, wearing a noticeable frown, started with, "Why do you want to work for us?" Unfortunately, since HR had cold-called me about this opportunity and I hadn't applied myself, my response didn’t land well. From that point, the conversation took a turn for the worse, and the rest of the interview felt strained.
Overall, it was not a positive experience.
