I spent a lot of time preparing for an interview that was less than ten minutes. In my experience, a company will review my resume or LinkedIn to get a sense of my background before scheduling an interview, but that didn't happen here. During the phone interview, the interviewer asked for my experience in manufacturing, and I walked her through my knowledge. The interviewer then said they were looking for someone with a specific background in manufacturing and that I wasn't a fit for the role. I understand some things might not come up until the interview, but since that manufacturing piece was so important to them, they should have skipped my application to avoid wasting time.

An exceptionally long interview process with minimal communication from a recruiter. I had to follow up 4 times over 5 weeks to hear that I didn't get the job. This wasn't because I was being completely ignored. Worse, every other email would get a response that they were still making a decision. I can only assume that I was being strung along until the first choice candidate's ink was dry.

Phone screen initially, then 1/2 day onsite talking with various personnel. Some knew how to interview, others it was clearly their first time. Overall, it seemed like 2 of the interviewers were acting a bit like jerks just to see how I would respond. That was offputting and troubling. At that point I kept playing along to see if it would change, but it didn't.
