Recruiter phone screen and four interviews with members of the marketing team. I didn’t find out until the last interview that she was the hiring manager, it was her fourth day on the job. It makes no sense to interview with the hiring manager last. She announced that she was looking for a “jack of all trades” not an events manager. She ended the interview asking me to imagine that she wanted me to paint the wall behind me red. What were the first three questions that come to mind? She thought it showed how my mind worked.
Basically. I wasted a month and multiple rounds of interviews due to a poorly thought out process. I got the obligatory email rejection a few days later. A week after that, I received another rejection from a recruiter I had not had any interaction with. The recruiting process is a mess.
