I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Digitize (Lake Hopatcong, NJ) in Jan 2023
Interview
Interview started off by assessing your ability to follow rudimentary instructions in Word and Excel. Next you have to take an aggressively long personality assessment. After you've successfully wasted an hour or more of your time you'll be asked to do a white board problem unless you're resume indicates you have more than 3 brain cells, in which case you won't be asked to do that I guess; instead you'll only be asked to complete a C take home challenge which isn't too difficult, but is certainly asking way too much of your time for an interview technical assessment. I would say it's about the same caliber as a small undergraduate programming project: very tedious. Once you've got that down, you'll be asked to take an IQ test as if you're joining the army, and as if you haven't already proven your competency enough, and then nothing makes sense. I scored a >95th percentile on the test, and was told I was a very good candidate multiple times by two high level employees. Needless to say I jumped through all of their ridiculous time sucking hoops with flying colors. The employee I was interviewing with was eager to give me a job offer (and literally did but he made it clear it was just for me to look over, not an actual offer), but apparently Mr. Important (the guy who owns the place) was too busy to give the go ahead. I've now been waiting a week to hear back what Mr. Important has to say; bear in mind this was something that evidently should have been decided in a text message while I was there a week ago. Frankly I don't care if he doesn't want to offer me the job. I honestly think I did too well on his childish assessments, and he has so fragile of an ego that he is unwilling to hire someone who is genuinely too good for a job that is paying less than walmart. If you accidentally applied here even after seeing 17/hr on their listing (By the way, it's actually 15.50 with no room for negotiation) Just keep looking. Mr. Important likes to play games, and you'll be no exception.
