I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dillard's (Brandon, FL) in Sep 2011
Interview
Went to customer service, applied on a computer terminal and waited to meet with the store manager. Met with her and was offered to start training the next day. Wanted a position right off the bat in management but was told I needed to prove myself first. They said they valued internal promotions and I would need to work my way up. Sold as a very positive experience with a company I would want to retire from. Office and building were very clean. Receptionist very friendly.

Question 1
Nothing was difficult or unexpected, more or less standard interview regarding experience and where I saw myself.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Dillard's in Nov 2021
Interview
Very rushed, back to back interviews. Pretty much threatened indirectly by saying if I don't reach my sales goals then they cant pay me what I want and will cut my pay. Kept asking if any friends or family have worked for Dillard's before and what they told me about it. Asked me about previous pay and who had referred me for the job. If I would snitch on other employees. Overall, I ended up not taking the position.
