They focused mostly on telling you it does not matter how hard you work, how helpful you are with customers, or if you come in every day and on time...it's ALL about sales quotas and getting folks to sign up for credit cards. Literally, that's it. They did not ask about former employment or my availability. They did not allow me to give my current employer 2 weeks notice. Told me I had to start the next day or no job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
We will cut your hourly pay if you can't meet your sales quota. Are you ok with that? If so, you're hired!
Standard interview, quite short (20 minutes) for the first round. Asked about past experience, sales skills, expected pay, and my future goals at the company. Interviewers were very nice and welcoming, made the experience much less intimidating!
Not sure what to expect. When I spoke to the manager it felt very condescending and off putting. The interview was fine but they exaggerated the amount of commission associates can make and didn’t even give me a chance to agree to a job offer just assumed that I would take it. I don’t have very high hopes about how it will be working there. When I came in for my interview one associate didn’t even greet me like she did the last customer and the energy of the atmosphere just felt super dull and soulless. I need this job on my resume as a fashion business student for internships so I’ll push through but not at all optimistic about the work environment.
