      Analyst Interview

      Aug 17, 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Direct Energy in Jul 2011

      Interview

There were two interviews, 1 phone and 1 on-site The interview questions were very basic. The hiring manager read from a script and never deviated away from it. There were a couple scenario questions that revolved around your ability to get along with others.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Direct Energy

      Interview

      - Interview was not your typical generic questions. But gave an impression that the team is dull and not fun to work with. Interviewers seems to think they work forTesla or some genius brand. Relax guys its just an Energy company with typical number crunching so take it easy. I was hoping it would end before as I already felt I didn't want to be a part of this team within the first 20 minutes or so but ended up wasting one hour.

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

      I interviewed at Direct Energy

      Interview

Applied online was called shortly after process took standard 1 month. In my opinion Direct Energy needs to re-haul there entire interview process. The interview begins the moment the candidate enters the reception area. If I have a bad experience I will tell 10 other people and those 10 will tell 20 others and this is how the reputation of the company goes down the drain. A structured interview approach is my suggestion where the questions asked to each candidate are the same and don't seem like an interrogation. Based on my interview alone I will never apply here again. Please change the manner in which interviews are conducted, my worst interview in my history of interviews occurred here.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Lots of questions why did you leave all your roles, why do you want to work here, well fit is a big deal, any behavioural issues we need to be aware of. It was a rapid fire round thus devaluing the reputation of the organization immediately in my mind.
