I had two phone interviews with (the same) HR recruiter. I was then given and assignment of creating a media reco that I would present for a client I had zero background on. The deck I was sent as a template was read-only, so I spent multiple hours creating my deck. I then presented and interviewed with someone at my same level who literally was hired that week. Then I was asked to submit five references - the program they use puts you in the driver seat, so it was up to me (not HR) to wrangle references. While waiting for what I thought would be a job offer, a fourth interview was sprung on me. Very few questions were asked, but one woman on the call clearly didn’t want to be there. I was told several days later they went with another candidate. In hindsight, upon further research, I dodged a bullet with this messy organization!
