Applied online. I got an email two weeks later from an HR member from the UK office for phone interview confirmation. Two days after the phone interview with the HR member in the UK office, I was asked to create a presentation. Upon submitting the presentation, I was called for an in-person interview at Istanbul office. Just two hours before the arranged interview, an email sent to me letting me know that the interview is cancelled as the hiring managers was called into another meeting. As I was in the subway and there was no reception, I didn’t get the email. Hence, I ended up at the location anyway. Later on, another date was scheduled for the interview.
There was no HR member present in the in-person interview because she/he was on holiday. Therefore, the HR questions were asked by the hiring managers which in my opinion wasn’t handled very well. I was prepared to present the deck I created, however I wasn’t asked to do it. A comment that they liked my ideas in the presentation so much that they had already started to implement them was made in the interview, which made me slightly uncomfortable; but immediately I was told it was a joke. A week after the interview, I received an email from the HR member in the UK that the hiring managers had decided to move forward with another candidate. A week later, I saw the same job opening advertisement again. I asked for an honest feedback, for I believe I put a great deal of effort into the presentation, however to this day almost two months later, I haven’t received any response. My overall experience was negative.
