I talked to a recruiter and then did a one hour phone screen. I passed the screen but was told the position I was being interviewed for was filled. I did another one hour phone screen with a different team and went on to the final round The final round was 5 hours of interviews. After the final round I was told the position I was interviewing for was filled, but that I passed, and the next step was to find a team fit. Two different managers were interested and I asked to set up meetings to learn about the teams The first manager performed another technical interview, I had around 5 minutes to learn about the team. For this team I was told I would have to do one more technical interview by members of the team The second manager talk was normal. After 8 hours of technical interviews, I was called by my recruiter and told the decision was made to look for candidates that were closer to SE 3 for these two SE 2 roles and that they would be in touch. For reference I am on the upper end of SE 1 looking to transition to SE 2
