      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      Sep 25, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New Braunfels, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Displayr (New Braunfels, TX) in Sep 2023

      Interview

It was very much a 1-way interview. I sent consultant-type advice in the form of email assignments and a 1-way video pre-recorded answers to questions and insights. When we got to the 3rd step of an actual 2-way interview, it was 1.5 hours long and the interviewer did 95% of talking..The format was literally he's going to speak and I have to interrupt and stop him in order to then speak. At then end he said the interview process would end in 2 days and there were 500 applicants. I was treated like a check the box exercise and I felt like their last candidate. Sooooo self centered and NOT AN INTERVIEW

We are sorry you had a less-than-positive experience with us. For context, we were looking to hire four BDRs to join us, and with 516 applications, we chose to automate the process with a video interview and email task at those early stages. Without this, we would not have been able to review and action our candidates in a timely manner that is fair to all parties. From your feedback, it sounds like you made it to our Technical Interview stage, so you would have been one of only nine candidates to get there. So that in itself was a considerable achievement! We will look to review and improve this interview experience moving forward and are super grateful you took the time to provide it to us. We wish you all the best with your future endeavors!
