The pre-interview process was very good. Communication was prompt, efficient, and well done. HR kept the process moving. Expectations were clear.
The interview itself was very stuffy and formal. There were a lot of people in the room and everyone got a chance to ask a question from a prepared list, but there was no real dialogue or opportunities for follow up questions. They asked a question, I answered, and that was that.
When I asked what people enjoyed about the job, they all looked and waited for one person in the room to answer. After that person answered, everyone around the table gave the exact same response. What that communicated to me is a very hierarchichal work environment where employees are expected to fall in line, put their head down, do their work, and never speak up.
My thank you note after interview did not get a reply.
