Received a call from a company Recruiter. That interview went great. One week later had a phone call with the hiring manager and that interview went great. The manager stated that she was going to have the Recruiter contact me to schedule an onsite interview. I thought I'd be hearing within the day. When a couple days past and I didn't hear from the Recruiter to schedule the onsite interview, I sent an email to her. She indicated she was waiting to hear back from the hiring manager with the details for the interview. After another couple days, after still not hearing, I emailed once again only to be told the same thing. Finally, one week after my phone call with the Hiring Manager I received a call from the Recruiter to say that they changed their minds about bringing me in because of the email inquiries I had sent them.
Seems my being eager and interested scared them away. Lesson learned for me, but also strikes me as a bit short-sighted and moody on their part. I was a perfect match for the role.
