      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Doist

      Interview

After sending an application with a cover letter, I was invited to have three interviews with different members of the company (Head of PR/Marketing, Financial Manager, and the COO), each one lasting a bit longer than 30 minutes. Questions ranged from cultural fit to previous experience. I also did a test project, for which I was fairly paid. At the end, I wasn't selected but it was great to get a glimpse of a successful remote company. All my interviewers were really nice and helpful. If there were another opportunity for me to apply, I would do it without thinking twice. I feel that the key to getting an interview (besides having the right skills they're asking for) is to read their official blog. If after reading it you liked their culture, you feel identified with their values and the way they work, now you have to express it in your cover letter. Otherwise, you'll get rejected. Even if you have the most incredible skills in the planet, you'll get rejected without a meaningful cover letter. Also, it seems like a plus if you are familiar with their products and have previous remote experience (freelancer, startup, etc). The process overall was very good lasting five weeks (from the time when I applied to when I got rejected). I would recommend it to anyone who gets excited when reading about their culture, values and how they work.

Thank you for your positive feedback! We sincerely enjoy getting to know candidates throughout the recruitment process. You're spot on about the importance of having a great cover letter. Very often, we have multiple great candidates who we are hireable, but unfortunately have to choose just one. We would love for you to apply again in the future.

      Interview

I was turned down the interview by Allan C. despite that my experience and qualification matched. I would agree with other guys, this typically what happens when a company, offering remote jobs, have a luxury to do dismiss 99% of applicants. I wonder if they even know themselves what they're looking for their "cultural fit". Rather disappointed with the rejection reason and would be interesting to read at least one positive feedback of someone actually getting a job there.
