      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Doist (Denver, CO) in Nov 2019

      Interview

It was longer than I'm used to for a design job with 3 interviews and a test project. But it was a thoughtful process. Everyone was very pleasant and caring. The first interview was with the head of marketing, the second with the head of design and the third with the CFO. All the interviews were done remotely via video chat.

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Doist in Jan 2018

      Interview

I applied for Doist in December 2017. There were 3 skype interviews, which lasted around 50 minutes each. The first one was a more general screening interview with a fellow design team member — discussing professional background, briefly going through some projects in my portfolio, talking about Doist's culture and values. I was then asked to complete a skill test (moderate difficulty, reasonable timeframe, fairly paid) & passed on to the second interview. This one was with another design team member. We discussed the test results, and went yet again through most of the same topics covered in the first interview (portfolio, past experience, company values, current main challenges). Last interview was with the COO, and the main focus was on figuring out if both our values were aligned and compatible (as this is a crucial aspect for a remote team to work).
