I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dominion Enterprises in Oct 2008
Interview
The interview process was very long and drawn out. It seemed obvious that the people doing the interview didn't have alot of people to choose from. They also weren't the final decision makers...even in the last stage of the interview process. Approval had to be made from people who didn't even interview me.
The office was generally quiet when I was here; although it appeared very unorganized. There weren't a lot of smiling faces.
Interviews weren't structured. It almost seemed as if people were in a rush to get you out the door. There was no consistent follow up either so you were constantly left wondering if you were getting called back. I'd say in total there were four interviews prior to going to get the drug test and background check, which added another week to the process. Definitely too long a process for the position at hand.
As for advice, be prepared to talk about your skills vs. the skills they state in the job posting. Give short, concise answers. Ask questions about the job, even if you think you know the answer.
