Avoid applying for this position at all costs. DoorDash has had this posting up since November 2022. After applying, they will ask you to complete a take-home assignment where you are to prepare a 4-6 page report based on your analysis of an excel file with about 50k lines of data. Being a graduate student at the time, I consulted with classmates who had previously worked as data analysts at FAANG companies, and with professors in data analytics and marketing. After spending the better part of 3 days thinking about, analyzing, writing, and editing this case, I submitted a report consisting of 5 written pages, and 5 more pages of exhibits. Being an open-ended case, I provided them my full analysis and recommendations on ways to improve their business. After all that, I received a two-sentence email the following day saying I did not make it through to the interview stage and it's against their policy to provide feedback on the case. I replied asking for feedback anyways, and was reassured they would not provide any. Now let me remind you that this job posting has been up for at least 6 months at the time of writing this review! How many reports have they taken as a result of free labour? hundreds, thousands? This is so obviously a scam. There are tens of thousands of qualified people in tech looking for work right now, and you're telling me they haven't filled this position in over 6 months? Really disappointing to see a company like this taking advantage of people in such an obvious way. I feel stupid for putting in the effort. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
