Interview
Absolutely horrible and unprofessional interview process for S&O recruiting at DoorDash. I advise all candidates to not waste their time on DoorDash. They are cheats and liars when it comes to recruitment for S&O roles. They will set up introductory calls and move you to the next step which is a take home assessment case. Who on earth makes candidates take an assessment that involves 10+ hours of effort early on in the process??? I submitted my assessment well in advance of the deadline, only to be told that the team liked your assessment and have recommended to move me to the next stage, but they have already identified finalists and do not want to waste other applicants time. I mean WTF!!! Is this how you run a company?? Should have some respect towards candidates time? You get them to solve your business challenges for free and then dump them. I completed my first round on Thursday and submitted my assessment over the weekend. What on earth changed in a matter of a few days and how could someone have 'FINALISTS' already?? There are supposed to be 2 panel interviews before reaching the final stages. If they already have finalists, why did they even conduct new interviews and ask us to complete an assessment?? None of this makes sense. The recruiter told me they recommended moving to the next stage based on my assessment. Then why did they not? Only because they identified finalists within 1 week? How does that make sense? This clearly explains why door dash had a massive round of lay-offs in Dec 2022, and I am sure there's more to follow as such practices reflect a company's culture. Extremely disappointed.

Question 1
1st round: Basic behavioral and fit Case assessment: Takes 10+ hours to complete and come up with a recommendation. Excel and SQL. Tons of raw data. I would not recommend solving this if you sense they are not serious.

Plusieurs entretien un énorme cas à faire pour ensuite passer une autre entretien pour expliquer les réponses une fois le cas retenu et ne plus avoir de nouvelle à la dernière etape

Interview
Had a recent interview process that started off fine but ended up feeling like a waste of time. The initial phone screen with the recruiter was positive (straightforward, professional, and gave me a good sense of the role).
But the hiring manager interview was… odd. They gave a quick rundown of the position, asked me one question (“tell me about your background”), and that was pretty much it. No real follow-up, no questions about my relevant experience, and no opportunity to actually talk about what I could bring to the role. It didn’t feel like a real interview - more like a box they had to check.
So I wasn’t surprised to hear I wasn’t moving forward. Just disappointed that there wasn’t any meaningful conversation or engagement. Felt like a missed opportunity all around.
