Interview
Steps are lengthy but not out of the norm. Recruiter Screen => Hiring Manager Screen => Case Study/Mock Pitch => Final Panel with team and team leadership. A recruiter is your main point of contact during interviews but the recruiter is also representing the company for potential job seekers. I've been working for over 15 years and the Doordash recruiter that I worked with was the worst that I've come across. During each stage of the process, she was aloof and would take days, if not weeks to get back to me about scheduling. She didn't provide any pro-active updates and I had to follow up with her several times throughout the process to see if I was moving on and then wait for her to get back to me with scheduling a time. Additionally before the pitch (which is time consuming and stressful to prepare for), she didn't reach out to confirm a time that i had confirmed with the sales leadership team. I followed up with her 2 days before my pitch to confirm that it was actually happening and only then did she reply that the pitch was occurring. Afterwards, I didn't hear from her despite multiple followups and only after I reached out directly to sales leadership and interviewers did I hear from them that I was not moving on. I never heard from the recruiter after my follow ups to get the interview scheduled and its unfortunate that I had to reach out to my interviewers to get a response on my candidacy. I enjoyed meeting the team but I really hope Doordash is able to make some changes to ensure that their recruiting team is responsive and communicative considering the internal and external resources that go into hiring.

Interview
4 Step process - initial recruiter screen, manager, roleplay, senior manager. Overall, great experience, punctual, and communicated. Interviewers were on time and engaged. The interviews themselves were pretty intense but to be expected for a company of this size.

Question 1
Describe a time you had a disagreement with a customer or colleague. What was the situation, how did you handle it, what was the outcome.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2025
Interview
I applied online and accepted the offer after one recruiter screening and three rounds (4 total). The process took one month, application to offer. The third round was a roleplay of a sales call, with the other rounds consisting of a mix of behavior and technical questions. This was for a new team, so there was an extra emphasis on behavioral questions rather than checking to see if I would fit the metrics/playbook they already had in place. The final round was a bit of a stress test, tougher questions. Recruiters were very responsive and moved the process along nicely, touched base to prep before the role play, and kept in touch following the final interview before the offer.

Interview
Praised me throughout whole process then completely ghosted! Most unprofessional company ive ever interviewed with. I truly believe they simply stole the work i did in the presentation round. Nothing about the process seemed real.
