      Account Executive Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Doxel (San Mateo, CA) in Feb 2024

      Interview

It took 4.5 months to complete. There was 2 no-shows from the interviewers, and three last-minute cancellations. When they did show for an interview, I answered the same questions over and over, and they spent half the time excusing themselves to answer emails and Slack messages. It ended with having me fly to the Bay Area, present a sales deck I had to create (even though it was the end of the quarter and I still had a job), AND THEY WERE LATE to an interview in their own office. However, this didn’t break their perfect record of stopping the interview to leave to do something more important. As a result, for the final interview I showed up directly after a flight, sleep deprived, and incredibly pissed off at their behavior. It’s my own fault- I should have turned down further interviews after the first one took a month to schedule. I honestly stuck it out because at first I gave them the benefit of the doubt, then it was in disbelief and I finished it sheerly out of morbid curiosity. I’d say at least I got a trip to the Bay out of it, but they never reimbursed my expenses.
