Went through 7 interviews, two Japanese language check, 2 whiteboard exercises.
When I asked to have an informal chat with the team I got instead Japanese language check from one of the employees I wanted to chat informally.
After speaking to the CEO, I've got one more whiteboard exercise. 7 calls in total plus 1 on site.

They were fairly transparent with the interview process. The take-home assignment followed best practices (no company spec work). I still would have preferred an hour-long whiteboard challenge. My recruiter was very helpful in letting me know about the whole process.
