Advertised for a writer/journalist (which is very trendy these days, but if you present with actual journalism experience, you're not "tech" enough), but clearly just wanted another corporate product manager, c-suite-hand-holding type with in-house Saas experience and a dry style. The job description was misleading and very heavy on writing and execution, but the recruiter was dismissive and disengaged that whole time, asking vague questions that had nothing to do with my experience or portfolio. I don't even think they had my resume in front of them, which for a referral, is just downright rude.
