I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Duolingo (New York, NY) in Jan 2023
Interview
Everyone was very kind in the process, though the position was pulled right before I did the final interview.
Started with an email to schedule, first a half hour interview, very chill, spoke with animation lead. Soon after I got the email that I made it to the last round. I was then sent an itinerary for a 3 hour schedule, I would have spoken to 5 people in total over different specifications of the job (presentation, creative, technical, etc). Before the day came I got the email that they weren't going to hire for that position after all since they wanted to focus on other departments. It was a bit of a blow but I met some very cool people in the process.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Duolingo (Pitts, PA)
Interview
The interview process had about 3/4 steps. After applying they sent me an email to organize an interview. Once I was in the interview they were incredibly friendly, but had many tricky questions. If you succeeded you'd have to fly out to their headquarters and put on a presentation as to why you deserve the job. Apparently it's a one to two day ordeal.
