I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Duolingo
Interview
Screening interview, followed by interview with hiring manager, followed by interview with hiring manager's manager, followed by take-home task, followed by virtual "on-site" final round.
Throughout the process, it became clear how amazing everyone at Duolingo is. The interviewers were all friendly and the conversations were largely casual. Just from the interviews, I could sense that Duolingo has a wonderful culture.
I also enjoyed the opportunity to interview/speak with senior leaders of the company during this process. I felt this opportunity was somewhat unusual for a company as established as Duolingo. The availability and approachability of senior leadership was a huge positive.
My recruiter did an amazing job of keeping in touch and offering immediate updates on my application. This was easily the best recruitment process that I have experienced.
