Initially, I was referred to this position by a friend in the industry. He set up my interview in territory with the Regional Manager. The RM had good questions, seemed well prepared and knowledgeable, and was very kind to me and did not ask crazy obtuse questions that I have had on other interviews (do you believe in aliens, sell me this pen, if I could go back in history who would I meet, etc!). I wound up getting the job and working under my friend who referred me. The company paid all of my expenses on time, gave myself and other outside guys and customers phenomenal customer service and availability/problem solutions, etc. This is a great company and I learned a great deal about manufacturing, relationship selling, growing territory sales, cold calling, prospecting, following through, on and on. ECMD is great and I would work there again. Management is a little bit "guy in the ivory tower" / out of touch with the real issues / tied up in numbers, but that is the standard with upper level decision makers in this industry. The only reason I left is that I had a better financial opportunity come along.
