ECS Limited Geotechnical Assistant Staff Project Manager interview questions

Interview was short, I met with two young professionals, no idea what there role was but it wasn't the office manager or a supervisor. It was less of an interview and more like a meet and greet. I told them about research projects I did in school and just life in general. There were no hard hitting interview questions. About 2 and a half hours later I received an email from the office manager offering me a job. Not the job I applied for, they should have been more transparent instead of bringing people in their office only to offer them a field technician position.
