After a month of the application I was invited to talk to a software engineer in a small introductory interview. The interviewer was nice and the interview went very smooth. Next day I was given a task to complete. I spent in the task longer than expected because I wanted to cover all their bonus points they wanted. After around a week of submitting the task, they told me they can no longer proceed (the position is filled and closed). Can't express my disappointment when I realize the wasted effort and time.
