The hiring process starts with a quick call (30 minutes), followed by an interview with the Head of the department and a last interview with the CEO or head of Growth

The recruiter did a great job with communication and coordination of the interview process. The first virtual meeting unfolds as expected, going through experience of candidate and job role description. The second round included both the hiring manager and recruiter. It was communicated to me that I did not have industry knowledge. After the conclusion of this meeting, I requested from the recruiter to share any links, blogs, suggestions, etc. where I could gain insight to secure the knowledge needed to continue. I was emailed the link to the main company website...when asking for more detail, it was communicated this is what they typically send. The third round was in person in the Berlin office where I was to prepare a ~15 min presentation to 7 white men in a conference room. The 'Assessment test' shared with me as the foundation of this presentation was vague. I was told to send a digital copy 24 hours in advance to the recruiter so I could use her laptop during my presentation. The (female) recruiter was thankfully in the conference room to provide support. In my experience, this was such an awkward room where there was little reciprocal sales conversation as expected and a current employee quizzed me on the spot on industry specific acronyms. After being told again I was behind in industry knowledge in comparison to the other recent hires (!) they contemplated, in my presence, adding a training session to get me up to speed. Upon further consideration, I was told I would not be moving forward in the interview process via email.
