The PI arranged two interviews online to discuss my background, interests, and the works I did prior to doing the Ph.D. This is because I was living across the globe. For candidates that come from within the EU, they usually arrange an onsite interview. Overall, the experience was very smooth.

A 50-minute interview was conducted, during which my knowledge was tested. They asked exclusively about the technical design process, and the only other question was my motivation for applying to the PhD program.
