The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ESS (Portland, CT) in Dec 2016
Interview
This wasn't an interview at all, but it was basically just a meeting explaining all of the documents necessary to start taking substitute teaching jobs. The process does take some foot work, but that's a requirement for teaching in any district regardless of being it's through S4T or someone else.
This is based on my own personal experience. There wasn't a formal interview process. The only time I spoke to someone face-to-face was during a video onboarding meeting, which they scheduled via email after my application and background check were completed.
The interview process is done online. All paperwork needs to be uploaded. Once your references are complete and background check you have to wait for an acceptance email. Then you’re good to go.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ESS (Butler, PA)
Interview
The interview process was very quick and easy. The interviewer was personable and I felt confident and comfortable during the interview. It was a seamless process and I was employed immediately.
