      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at EVEREVE in Nov 2017

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn and had a relatively pleasant phone interview with a lot of situational questions. (How do you drive sales, tell me about a time you had to think out of the box, etc.) I was asked to take a Predictive Index personality assessment and a store director (district manager) contacted me for an in-person interview. A lot of emphasis is placed on your appearance and sense of style, so be prepared to pull out your fashion-forward best and rattle off a list of Instagram fashion influencers you emulate. The interview was about an hour and a half and was more conversational in tone with absolutely no situational questions or business acumen probing. Although the store director was very nice and I enjoyed talking to her, I felt that it was a formality and they had already made a decision. The store director repeatedly mentioned that evereve is unlike any other retailer, that the interactions they have with their customers are completely different than anything you've seen before and people with traditional retail backgrounds have a hard time making the transition. Having shopped in their stores a few times, I can honestly say I didn't get much more than a "hello" and "are you still doing okay?" They claim to fare better with former teachers looking to transition into retail. The thing is, every retailer I've ever worked for thinks their business model is more unique than any other retailer but at the end of the day, retail is retail. If a veteran retail manager with a proven track record of retaining talent and growing YoY sales isn't a good fit, I'd love to see where the company is in five years. However, I was pleased that I received a rejection as other reviewers have reported being ghosted. I would have appreciated more specific feedback but in the end, I apparently do not fit the mom life brand.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EVEREVE (Ann Arbor, MI) in Sep 2016

      Interview

Overall great experience, multiple interviews both in person and on the phone. I feel that the pay I was looking for they could not afford. I was told by the recruiter that a base of 50,000 to 55,000 was reasonable that is why I moved forward. However when I met with the DM she said more like 40,000.
