I had my first meeting with the creative director at my schools career fair, and was informed that I should apply. I emailed back and forth with the HR person in the New York office, who set up a skype meeting for me with two people from the New York office. It was very informal, they asked me to talk about myself and my work and explain how I would be a good fit. I had the opportunity to ask them questions about the atmosphere in the office, if they had any suggestions on things that I could improve on in my portfolio and any advice they would have for me going into the "real world" after graduation. A few days after that I spoke with the HR department again and talked about if I would be willing to relocate or if commuting would be a problem. A week or two later I got an email saying I got the position.
