I applied through college or university. I interviewed at EY (Paris) in Dec 2020
Interview
I met them in a recruitment workshop in my university. I applied for the D&AT in their Technology BU. The interview happened through 4 steps I will describe as best I can:
- Online test, pertaining a logical test (pattern matching), mathematical test, text analysis test, English test and situational behavior MCQ.
The test is hard. You won't have the time to answer most questions so you need to prioritize and think fast. You can find mock tests online so it is best to prepare beforehand.
- Motivational interview: Interview with a manager containing regular motivational questions (Run me through your CV, why EY? why no other big 4? what do you think you will be doing if you land the offer? what do you know about the sectors in which you operate?)
- Case interview: Interview with a manager with a case to present. The case was very operational:
The CXO of a supermarket (Carrefour) is being disrupted by tech players such as amazon. They believe their customer experience programs are outdated and want to implement a chatbot. Propose an approach and a roadmap. What are the risks? What are the KPIs? You have 15m.
After the presentation: Alright the CXO is sold, he wants to present it to the board of administration, what do you put in his deck?
- Closing interview: Either with a partner or an HR (depending on availability). FIT questions such as: Present yourself, what did you learn in your past consulting experiences, what do you want to learn first if you get the job, do you have preferences for sectors? what are they?
I was contacted less than 5 days later at every step and was offered to start a month later. Overall a very efficient process.
