I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Early Warning Services (Scottsdale, AZ) in Sep 2016
Interview
The interview process was fast and open. I have been told that this is unusual, but my experience was overwhelmingly positive. My first phone screen was with the hiring manager. We discussed our own goals for the role, and my individual career. It was a very illuminating discussion. Early Warning cares about identifying the right individual for each role, and truly wants people to grow. I'm not happy as a code monkey, and neither is Early Warning.
On site, I met with HR, the hiring manager again, and two architects. The interview questions at first seemed haphazard, but really it was a tactic to discover breadth. I was honest about the things I don't know, and the things I am not interested in pursuing.

Interview
Two rounds of interviews. First round was 30 minute call with hiring manager, I gave overview of my background and answered a few behavioral questions. The design question was very light. Second round was an onsite, 1 hour of technical and 30 minute with another manager for potential match. The technical interview included behavioral questions and one coding question / logical and maintainable (write a function that will fit a box in your locker).

Interview
The process was lengthy and lacked transparency. Timelines shifted repeatedly, communication and resume population was poor, and the team proved highly dishonest. Overall, it was a frustrating and very disappointing interview experience.
Vibe is way off. Interviewer was a really condescending and rude person who would use his phone while you talk and sigh and roll his eyes if you gave an answer he didn't like. Interview ended early. When he asked if I had any questions, he would only answer with one word answers and it was obvious he wanted to move on. Terrible attitude. Other interviewers are of similar personality. Also the "coding interview screening" has no coding. It's Java trivia with gotchas.
