Applied on LinkedIn or Indeed for a Consumer Services Analyst II position. The job was described as analyzing for trends and other data research requirements along with a client contact role. The interview was scheduled, but I received no call. After 20 minutes I took it upon myself to call the recruiter. They did answer and apologized stating that it had been a busy day. I understand how that could happen, and we moved forward. Very quickly it became obvious that they had never reviewed my resume. After asking if I was currently employed (I have been with the same company for 10+ years) they asked for a summary of what I do for my current company. Everything that had been previously explained in my resume. This was a massive waste of time for everyone involved. I had also previously provided my salary requirements and their high end offer was 20% less. Hugely disappointing experience. I rejected moving forward as the job description posted did not match what was offered.
