Interview
I only made it through the initial phone screening before receiving a rejection email. I have been a Linux admin for nearly 3 years with my current company. I am by no means an expert, but certainly not a beginner.
A received a call from a man with a thick accent, so it was difficult to discern some of what he was saying. Most of the questions weren't even technical, more about what I wanted to do career-wise or very basic experiences that I have had.
He did not seem very interested in getting know me or to gauge my actual knowledge of the subject matter. Rather, I am betting he based it entirely off of my only-three-years. It also felt rather insulting that he kept referring to my as a beginner and even mentioned that he would have to adjust questions for a next interview to accommodate.
I get it, for roles like this, the more years the better. However, there was no opportunity for me to prove my knowledge by answering actual questions related to my work or accomplishments I have made. Instead, it was immediate rejection. Honestly, I'm not terribly heartbroken given other reviews of this company.

Interview
Interviewing manager asked me how I look up an IP address, that's when I knew I should have walked out of the interview. These people are a joke, beginning with HR this company needs a complete revamp. Executive team needs to be replaced.
