Based on other reviews, it seems like my experience was pretty much par for the course. However I will be explaining the utter lack of communication and professionalism from one of EWS recruiters (redacted). It was over 45 days from the day I applied till I was reached out to by HR for a pre-screen interview.
From there it was 48 hours till I was asked for an interview with the hiring manager. This interview went amazing, we both clicked right away and were good vibes. I was then asked a few days later for a panel interview. This interview consisted of a few potential peers. Again the interview went great, we all really seemed to click. Here is where the communication starts to break down. During the panel, they said that HR would be in touch in a few days(interview was mid week). So I reached out to (redacted) that following Tuesday. No reply. So I sent another email 5 days later, he responded a day later advising they would like to schedule me for another panel interview with the former manager and a peer of the hiring manager. This interview was where I felt I struggled the most(hey it happens right). I felt good conversation with 1 of them but not the other. Figured at this point, if I was in the bottom and not being considered I would get a decline right away. Well that didn't happen. So about a week after the interview I reached out to (redacted) and thanked the leaders time for the interview and ask about when I would hear back. He said they were finishing up the last few interviews and should know by Monday. I reply and thank him for a prompt reply and that I will keep an eye out for an update. That update never came. Monday came and went, so being understanding I gave him till that Friday, when I reached out seeking an update. No response, so I figure I call him Monday, he didn't answer, so I left a message.
So lets put some context as to why I was trying to find an answer if I was still being considered. I had received the offer of another position, however my number 1 choice was EWS. I explained this in the email after the Monday deadline that (redacted) missed, but also in the voicemail. So I figure I will try one last time to email (redacted) and see if he replies, I sent an email not part of the email chain we had been conversing on and guess what, no reply. So I did what any unemployed person would do and accept the job I was offered from another company. I still for some reason kept hope that, they were still deciding. So I would periodically check their employment site to see the status of my application. I wasn't until well over 90 days from applying that it was marked as being "no longer considered." This was over 45 days from last contact with (redacted).
Some additional background, EWS uses "Workday," workday has the ability to auto reply to candidates whom are no longer in consideration automatically. EWS needs to fix that process and improve communication to candidates, especially those who have invested multiple hours for interviews.
