My interview process for the Senior Software Engineer role at Early Warning Services included multiple rounds, ranging from coding and system design to behavioral discussions and offer negotiation.
Overall, the process felt easy. Many of the engineers I interviewed with didn’t seem very skilled or experienced, especially during technical deep dives. From what I learned, the company isn’t profit-driven — it’s funded by seven banks and operates Zelle. It doesn’t compete like a typical tech company, which may explain the lower engineering bar.
Their salary range seems lower than the market. After receiving the offer, it made sense why the engineering talent seemed weaker. The recruiter tried to position the offer as competitive and the benefits as strong, but based on my industry experience, it was the second-lowest salary I’ve been offered, and the health insurance was the least attractive I’ve seen.
That said, my recruiter was excellent — she clearly explained each step, provided all necessary information, and communicated very well throughout the process.
