I was interviewed by two people in separate interviews. The first interview was pleasant. I was asked meaningful questions and the interviewer took a great interest in understanding how my background was relevant to this role. A few minutes later when I went to the second interview I wanted to get up and walk out. The person was very rude and condescending. She hadn’t reviewed my resume and was seemingly irritated that I lacked a qualification she deemed important (keep in mind this qualification was not in the job announcement or else I wouldn’t have applied). I was not offered the position but knowing I’d be working in close proximity with the rude interviewer I knew I would never return-not even for a different position (the office is very tight). I didn’t appreciate her directing her lack of preparation towards me. But now that I conduct interviews I thank her for teaching me how not to behave. So my experience was a neutral. One positive professional person and one unprepared negative person.
