Eastman Mechanical Engineer interview questions

Interviews were conducted in a team format with 2-3 people and 3-4 sessions. Afterwards, there was a group interview with all team members. The day concluded with an HR briefing. A follow up phone call and message came through several weeks later, and planning for inprocessing and a start date was established.

Interviews are taken very serious. It is an all day experience (but you are well fed starting with breakfast). The day starts with breakfast with your potential new boss and one potential coworker. This discussion is just a get to know you. Very relaxed. After breakfast, you drive to Eastman where you meet with a room full of director level. I still haven't figured out what the point was for this, I guess just so they could look you in the eye and get a feel for you. No true interview questions except asking about your background. The next set of interviews is with different employees where you are asked interview questions based on the S.T.A.R. method (google it). The formulation of answers is important because they want to know each step. What the issue was, what you did, the outcome, etc. This continues for the rest of the day with a break for lunch where you go out (often your choice) for lunch again with your boss and a few coworkers that you would be working closest with.
