I was asked to participate in a group interview (five applicants, five employees, five program participants) followed by two individual interviews with different program staff over the course of about a month and a half. The interviews were very engaging, and I left with a good impression of the organization - committed and compassionate staff, interesting program. Each interview was followed by a longer than expected wait before the next communication (this is so common it did not have a significant impression on my experience.) Following my third interview, I wrote a thank you note, and then waited until a week past when I was told the next step would be taken before following up. I was told the next step would be delayed a little bit longer. Despite assurances by the HR representative who participated in these interviews that all applicants would be notified regardless of the outcome, I never heard from them again. And three months later, the job was reposted on their website.
