Typically by word of mouth, not sure if/when they post positions (apparently, not often). You interview with a panel of friendly engineers. They'll give you a rundown of who they are, brag that nobody has ever been laid off, and explain that they have a position that they want a mechanical engineer who can do coding to fill. They don't have time to do all of this back-end coding. You will feel very good about yourself. And then you will wait. And wait some more. And stay in contact for months, because this position is too good to be true. And eventually, they will get back to you and tell you they aren't able to hire anyone at this time. This is highly inconsiderate. They should not interview if they think they cannot hire someone. They're engineers, they know that. Suffice to say that "nice is different than good." I would not bother writing if they had done it to just me. But they revealed their "nice guy" interviewing strategy when they did the exact same thing to a friend. So if you do interview here and it goes well (as with anywhere), give them a hard date. Call them before it and do not let them extend it. And always have another interview going on.
