Question 1
Data Exercise is very hard, but interesting to think through it, it is the data the team normally deal with. They gave a couple of days to finish it. Then it is onsite, everyone has its creative questions, not dull and stereotype at all. Of course, introduce is a must.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Shanghai, Shanghai) in Jun 2026
Interview
I was invited to a recruiter screen shortly after submitting my application. The process was a standard 30-minute video screening, during which I was promptly advanced to the next round—an interview with the General Manager, as they are currently in the process of hiring a team lead.
The interview with the GM involved a walkthrough of my past experience and a discussion about my understanding of the role. I ultimately did not advance further. I gathered that the team is prioritizing candidates with direct experience in the gaming industry who can contribute insights from day one. Although it wasn't the right fit this time, I appreciated the transparency and efficiency of the process.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Geneva) in Jun 2015
Interview
Phone screening with UK-based HR team, then 30min call with Head of Marketing, then two 30min calls with territory marketing managers. All interviews were friendly and personable, with one interviewer even signing off "I guess the next time we speak will be on your first day". No technical questions or evaluation, many qualitative personality-based, a few of the STAR style questions asked. Received a short email saying candidates with a more analytical background were being pursued, and no feedback was given despite an explicit request.
