      Sales Interview

      Jun 24, 2016

      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Elementum (Mountain View, CA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

Typical (at that time)....all management I spoke to during the process was terminated or left 2 weeks into this job. My process was I knew my manager, but it was still a series of phone calls, fly out to corporate and speak with several key individuals, reference checks, process an offer letter and then accept. Standard, interviews and corporate was akin to "speed dating" with senior level management (HR, product management, vp marketing, etc.). Today no idea what they do, but as soon as they terminate someone they're hiring in to fill those slots by the new regime.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions at the time, and by the people I spoke with were spot on and typical of any interviewing process. They are all gone now, the new management no idea. Anyone that subscribes to any site that shows new sales management background should stop any A-Level player from proceeding. At a start up it is vitally important to have an extremely strong background - not one that shows bouncing around from job-to-job-to-job. Making that many moves shows that they've never worked anywhere long enough to be successful.
