I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Bengaluru) in Sep 2017
Interview
This position was for Bangalore location. I had 3 rounds of telephonic interviews and I did pretty well. I had, a hr round followed by 2 technical rounds. The final round was f2f. The US team had come down to Bangalore. I had my interview in Marriott hotel. The sad part was I took 2 hrs to reach the venue and was 15 mins early to the said time of interview. I was waiting for another hour for my turn. Then came my chance. This f2f interview of mine lasted for less than 5 mins. I was extremely disappointed. I don't understand, how can anyone judge someone's capability in just few mins. I have worked for 3 companies and one of them being Merck. None of the interviews I ever faced completed this early.
Most will say, few mins are enough to judge someone. But I feel it was unfair to finish an interview this quick, a candidate has cleared several rounds of interview to come to the final round, atleast he/she should be given a fair chance.
Initially a screening call with HR to check your experience is correct for the role. Then a competency based interview, with questions based more on previous experiences with team members and how to handle difficult situations; questions on coping with new tools and techniques.
Tout commence avec 1 entretien téléphonique. Si tout va bien on enchaine avec un 1 entretiens RH
1 entretien Manager
2 -ème entretien RH
si tout va bien réception d'un mail de confirmation
The initial screening was positive & I was called for a remote interview. The HR was very prompt and professional in scheduling the interview. The interview, however, was fully centered around the behavioral questions. I answered all the questions very well without any issues. There were absolutely no technical questions asked. For some reason, I felt that they didn’t want a senior and experienced candidate, but carried through with the process regardless!
