Everything was well explained and easeful until the final round of interview.
The person I was supposed to be meeting did not turn up and sent someone else in their place who I did not feel understood the role so I was not given a fair chance.
Between round 2/3 I had to review a piece of work and provide written summary of the findings. I did a good job given I was called for a final round. Prior to the final round I specifically asked HR rep would I be asked to speak about this again and present it at the final round. I was told that was not going to be on the agenda so did not prepare only for the interviewers to hand the floor over to me to present my finding at the interview. Needless to say I did not perform well and was not offered the position. It still bothers me as I know I am well capable to do the role and they are still hiring for it a year later. Whatever short comings I had could have been gained with a year in the role. Just seems like a really inefficient and short sighted process imo.
