Applied for position, twice. Received an in-person interview. Upon meeting with executive members of management who both inferred I was a likely choice (inferred more than once I had the job actually), my emails to each of them kept bouncing back and I suspect were blocked for some reason? I sent an email from a different account and that didn't bounce back so it appears a blocking of some sort occurred by both of them and the recruiter who told me great things about the organization's new change in leadership and vision, also did not return my email correspondence. He certainly did prior to that.
I've never experienced anything so unprofessional and frankly, saddening- as my interview involved a serious management position. I did nothing unusual or worth ignoring me or blocking my emails after the fact. In fact, simply advising they went with another candidate would have sufficed if nothing else. I can't write that I have any respect for the organization based upon how they handled what appeared to be a great interview and then what equally felt to me like high school passive aggressiveness? I'm at a loss for words so I hope this helps anyone else interviewing or considering applying for a management position, especially at the executive or higher management level. At the least, you may not be caught off guard if you experience something similar. Never experienced anything at a corporate level of business like this before. Whole new perspective on how Elwyn is managed in reality on the inside from my experience or from two important people in leadership.
